How to Give Proper Expectations

You will learn how to effectively communicate realistic time frames to patients during the report of findings process and estimated recovery or improvement times based on their condition through an example script provided in the training.

It is essential to give your patient proper expectations during your ROF (report of findings) because it helps to establish trust, manage their expectations, and improve treatment adherence and satisfaction. When a patient understands their diagnosis, the proposed treatment plan, and the potential outcomes, they are more likely to feel informed and empowered to take an active role in their healthcare.

If a patient's expectations are not aligned with the reality of their condition or treatment, they may feel disappointed, frustrated, or skeptical about the care they are receiving.

During this training, we will focus on teaching how to effectively communicate proper expectations to patients during the report of findings process. This will include setting realistic time frames and estimated recovery or improvement times based on their individual condition. To help you develop these skills, we will provide an example script that outlines how to effectively deliver and communicate these expectations.
