Establishing Your Vision
You will learn how to create a company vision and how it can impact your annual evaluations and planning.
Company vision is an inspiring statement that communicates the company's identity and the impact it wants to make in the world. It aligns employees and stakeholders with the company's purpose and goals and helps to create a sense of shared purpose and direction.
You should have your Foundational Planner completed and your mission established, your core values established, and your 1-year and 3-year vision established.
Your 1-year and 3-year vision is a forecast looking forward at your business and what you would want to accomplish in your first year and then 3 years out.
Your 3-year vision will be created first and then you are going to back into that 1-year vision using that 1-year vision as a milestone to achieving your big goal - 3-year vision. The 1-year vision will then be broken down into 90-day pillars throughout that year trying to accomplish that 1-year vision.
So make sure to go through the exercise we have for you below with your team to establish that.
At the end of the year, you will evaluate if you have achieved your 1-year vision, identify any unfinished tasks, challenges faced and obstacles encountered. If you did not accomplish your 1-year vision, you will work on resolving these issues. Based on this review, your 3-year vision may need to be adjusted.
It is essential you complete this exercise to wrap up your Foundational Planner.
